Pikes Peak Regional Communications Network was established via an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) in 1999 to “implement and govern a regional radio network joint agency providing communication services to public safety and public service activities operating in the City of Colorado Springs and El Paso County.”
Today, PPRCN manages and maintains a multi-site, 800Mhz P25 radio system in the El Paso County area and beyond. Under the direction and guidance of its stakeholder owners, PPRCN has been upgrading its infrastructure to better deliver on its mission of providing a reliable, robust public safety and public service communications system.
